Strategic Communications

Effective communication goes beyond simply conveying a message; it requires a strategic approach. Media Relations

University Marketing and Communications is the primary contact for media inquiries. To ensure effective and consistent communication with the media pertaining to Campus Life, it is important to familiarize yourself with our policies on media relations. These guidelines help us present a unified and professional image while managing media inquiries efficiently.

Crisis Communications

University Marketing and Communications, in coordination with University Police, will issue all official communications in the event of an emergency or crisis situation. To maintain the accuracy and integrity of information and avoid disseminating false, confusing, or misleading details, we ask that all Campus Life departments refrain from sharing messages beyond amplifying those issued by the university’s official communications channels.

Style and Tone

When communicating to our audiences, it’s important to do so accurately, purposefully, and with a little Wake Forest style. From our distinct terminology to our AP Style preference, we are to be visually representative of well-crafted marketing and communications. The resources below will help guide you when developing editorial materials.
